My Approach: Crafting Digital Excellence
The task was to redesign a screen for the McDonald's India app. The objective? Transform it into a home screen that feels like a proper QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) app while catering to both in-store and delivery experiences.
Identifying Unique Challenges
The challenge was to strike the right balance between usability and branding. The screen needed to be functional for diverse user needs while staying true to McDonald’s iconic style.
Resolving Complex Problems
To meet the requirements, I focused on adding elements that enhance the visual appeal and make the screen more personalized for users. I ensured the designs complemented McDonald’s existing aesthetic while improving the navigation experience.
User-Centric Design
The two design options I created aimed to address user needs differently. Both incorporated clear call-to-actions and visual hierarchy, emphasizing easy access to delivery options and in-store deals.
Meeting User Needs
The first design (A) leaned toward a minimalist approach, focusing on functionality, while the second design (B) brought more vibrant elements to highlight offers and promotions. Both aim to make the experience seamless and engaging for McDonald’s users.
